CushDrive Sprocket System

The completely serviceable bolt-on cush hub for your enduro, supermoto, and dual sport that isolates your drivetrain from engine-killing vibration and pulsation.

Increased Tire, Chain and Sprocket Life

With the CushDrive Sprocket soaking up the harsh pulses of engine power, real-world riders are reporting up to a 50% increase in chain and sprocket life. Tires last longer too, since they no longer have to act as the driveline dampener on hard surfaces. This also means an easier life for your gearbox and clutch.

No More Blown Engines

Say goodbye to worn-out countershafts, shattered gears, and disintegrated clutch dampeners. The CushDrive Sprocket System is engineered to effectively dampen engine pulsation on all surfaces to prevent premature wear of critical engine components. Don’t abuse your bike, use it.

44T – 51T Interchangeable Sprockets

There’s no such thing as the perfect gear ratio. That’s why we include your sprocket of choice and make it easy for you to change your CushDrive’s ratio with basic hand tools. Thanks to intelligent design, all outer sprockets are interchangeable.

Higher Performance

The CushDrive Sprocket System is one-third the weight of a traditional cush hub. This means less unsprung weight, a better-handling bike and no costly wheel rebuilds. Run your favorite wheels without compromise.

Turn Left At Adventure

Ride your dirt bike to the trailhead, even if it’s a few hundred miles away. The CushDrive Sprocket System means you can explore where you want, no matter if that’s some gnarly singletrack in Baja, or a slab of pavement to get to the mountains.

A Warranty That Says We’re Not Joking

CushDrive Sprockets are 100% serviceable and our race-spec urethane bushings are warrantied for 10,000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes first. If you ride that much, we’ve got your back. Now there’s no excuse to hit the road and get to the dirt.

WHY DO I NEED IT?

When your engine goes through a combustion stroke, a surge of power is sent through your driveline and through the use of clever mechanics is converted into forward movement. Without a cush hub, this repeated surge of power takes its toll on your motorcycle’s gearbox, countershafts, clutch, and driveline. Street bikes are equipped with cush hubs to dampen this surge. Dirt bikes do not come with cush hubs because they’re designed for riding short distances on loose dirt, where the knobby tires break traction easily.

WHO NEEDS IT?

While dirt bikes are more refined, powerful, and capable than they ever have been—street legal or not—their fundamental purpose still hasn’t changed—they’re built for short excursions on loose dirt trails. If you’re riding on gravel roads for extended distances, transiting to local trails on the highway, or planning an epic adventure ride, you need a CushDrive Sprocket System. You’ll end up with a smoother riding machine that’s more capable at lower RPM, and you won’t have to worry about burning out your clutch or shattering your gearbox.

WHAT IS IT?

The CushDrive Sprocket System is a bolt-on alternative to a costly and heavy cush hub. It uses 24 race-spec urethane bushings to separate the sprocket from the hub mount, isolating your engine and gearbox from damaging power pulsations and driveline shock when in high-grip situations. The CushDrive System is maintenance-free, completely bolt-on, and it can be installed with basic tools at home.

Engineered with 24 race-spec serviceable urethane bushings the CushDrive system isolates your precious drivetrain from engine-killing vibration and pulsation. It is completely serviceable with replaceable bushings and interchangeable sprockets ranging from 44T to 51T. CushDrive Sprockets decrease driveline shock loads, decrease countershaft spline wear, increase the life of your chain and sprocket, and decrease chain chatter at low RPMs. All while making your motorcycle easier and more comfortable to ride.

Please ensure to check the fitment advice below, as some manufacturers have offered several different sprocket configurations over the years. (KTM-built Husqvarna bikes are different than BMW-built Husqvarna bikes, for example). We suggest to double-check your ID and PCD via this link. [link]

CushDrive Sprockets have the following Inside Diameter (ID ) and Pitch Circle Diameter (PCD)

  • KTM – Husqvarna – Husaberg : ID 125mm / PCD 150mm
  • Beta:  ID 125mm / PCD 152mm
  • Honda: ID 125mm / PCD 152mm
  • Kawasaki: ID 126mm / PCD 146mm

Have specific questions on CushDrive Sprocket System fitment? Click here to find more information here.

The CushDrive Sprocket System is about the same width as your chain, however it requires about 3-5mm more clearance than a typical sprocket. Overly aggressive chain guides may require slight massaging, but most factory units are without issue.

The unit is assembled with high-quality stainless bolts, with nuts protruding on the inside of the unit, we avoided using any obscure fasteners to allow for worst-case field serviceability or on-the-road sprocket changes. These bolts are on the spoke side of the driveline and won’t interfere with anything.

Older motorcycles with smaller rear swing-arms may have mounting issues, such as the Honda XR650L, but we are working on a specific model for that machine.

Inside Diameter (ID ) / Pitch Circle Diameter (PCD)

  • KTM – Husqvarna – Husaberg : ID 125mm / PCD 150mm
  • Beta:  ID 125mm / PCD 152mm
  • Kawasaki: ID 126mm / PCD 146mm
  • Suzuki: ID 126mm /  PCD 146mm
  • Yamaha: ID 130mm / PCD 150mm

Some motorcycle manufacturers have gone through several owners in recent years and may have changed sprocket sizing. If you are not sure of the Sprocket ID (Inside Diameter) or PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) then check this link to see if your bike will fit –  Sprocket size

Kiwi Designed And Manufactured, USA Assembled

We don’t make our stuff in China. It’s made outside of Christchurch, New Zealand by a guy named Paul, who’s a lovely bloke. On most weekends he’s out riding single track on his Beta XTrainer, presumably competing for right-of-way with New Zealand’s three-trillion sheep. Each and every CushDrive Sprocket System is assembled in the US from Kiwi parts, to ensure each riders gets exactly what they need.
